Who we are.

Fenner R. Weller, Jr., General Partner, is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance. He has over 30 years of fixed income security trading experience at Wall Street firms such as Prudential Securities, A.G. Becker Paribas, and Salomon Bros. for institutional clients. The majority of his experience was at Prudential Securities, Inc. in a dual role of Branch Manager and Senior Vice President, Fixed Income Sales, covering a five-state Southwest Regional area. Prior to Weller, Anderson & Co., Ltd., he was a Director at First Southwest Company in charge of Fixed Income Sales in the Houston branch where he employed his financial experience in the capital markets and investment banking services assisting municipal issuers. He holds Series 4, 7, 24, 55, and 63 FINRA registrations. Mr. Weller was recently elected to serve on the The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) District 6 Committee. He will serve on the District 6 Committee until January 2010. Fenner is a member of The Greater Houston Partnership, an active community businessman, and has served on various corporate and philanthropic boards. As a member of The Houston Club since 1982, Mr. Weller has also served as a Board member and President. Currently, Mr. Weller serves on the Board of Directors of a NYSE listed company.

Carolyn Bruns is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and holds Series 7, 24, 53 and 63 FINRA registrations. Her career in the securities industry began 20 years ago at Prudential Bache (Securities). From there, she worked at Advantage Capital, affiliate of American Capital, and First Southwest Company. Carolyn is a Limited Partner, Municipal Principal, Senior Vice President, Anti-Money Laundering Officer and works in all areas of fixed income securities from trading, continuing education, compliance and operations. She has been involved in many community endeavors including chairing and serving on various committees of The Houston Club.  Carolyn has served in many capacities of the Methodist Children’s Home Alumni Association (MCHAA) including board member and president.  She was the recipient of the 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award.

William "Ryan" R. Weller, Vice President, joined Weller, Anderson, & Co., Ltd. in March 2003. With Series 7 and 63 FINRA registrations, Ryan concentrates his sales and trading activity in the fixed income industry. Ryan graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance. As Vice President of Student Government at Texas Tech, he represented the University at all off-campus activities and was a member of Phi Delta Theta. Ryan began his financial career at JP Morgan Chase, Houston, Texas working in their Leadership Development Program-Management Trainee Analyst and moved to their Person Financial Services-Personal Asset Management-Portfolio Associate department. His focus at JP Morgan Chase was working with trust accounts positioning accounts towards portfolio realignment and appropriate asset allocation. Ryan is involved in various community endeavors and is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Fenner "Reese" Weller III, Vice President, provides financial planning services for retail investment accounts for small business owners and individual investors of Weller, Anderson & Co., Ltd. He also handles fixed income sales and trading for institutional customers. Reese holds Series 7 and 63 registrations with FINRA as well as a General Lines Agent Insurance License and is registered with the State of Texas. Prior to joining Weller, Anderson & Co., Ltd. he gained industry experience as a Financial Advisor with Linsco/Private Ledger and Edward Jones Investments. A graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, Reese holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Economics. He is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and assistant captain on the BBQ Committee.

Michelle S. Bennett is new to the financial industry. She worked for a temporary service before accepting full-time employment with Weller, Anderson & Co., Ltd. Michelle is a very pleasant and articulate young lady. She possesses excellent computer skills which she puts to good use in a variety of clerical responsibilities. Michelle attended The University of Houston for a while and is looking to finish her college program some time in the future. She is an avid sports fan who supports her two favorite teams – the Houston Astros and, of course, us.
